Installing a poker software CD is like any other installation, this explanation is not meant for those who are well versed with that sort. This will be very useful for a beginner who does not know anything about installation.  There are many those not sure of the process of installation.  Hope this helps:-
• Open your CD drive and insert the disk in the correct direction.  The label should show up and the silver colored part of the disk should be put face down.  Once you have put the poker software CD inside correctly you need to close the CD drive.
• Now you need to go to my computer section and click on it and look for that little icon that shows CD drive with the picture if the CD disk on it.
• Click on that icon.
• The CD drive will open and you will be able to see the contents of the poker software CD inside that.
• There will be lot of folders and some many documents.  Do not confuse yourself with all of that.  Just click on the install button.
• The games and poker room in the poker software CD will be installed in to your system.
• The icon will appear in the desk top.  Whenever you want to play, you can click on the icon and log in with your user id and password.

Some problems that can arise when you are trying to install a poker software CD will be like the CD not opening at all or the poker software CD will play, but with several pauses not letting you to do the installation properly.  This might be because there could have been some scratches in the poker software CD in the silver colored area of the CD.  The scratches would have disrupted the data and you would not be able to install it any further.

After installation there may be several errors that pop up.  If you are not able to resolve the problem if you will write to the poker site from which you got the CD, they will recommend something called patch files; perhaps, in most of the cases installing the patch files can clear the error.
