Home games do great with wildcards in poker.  Most can be played per the dealer’s choice.  Almost all games can be played with wildcards; the famous among them all are the games with 7 card stud, 2's 4's and 10's.  Apart from these one eyed jacks with spade and heart is also a popular form of wildcards.  Well playing with wild hands can mean big pots too! Only thing they are not widely standardized, but big winning is possible with such games too!

There are standard deuces wild and progressive deuces wild played with wildcards in poker.  In both of these variations all the deuces are wildcards.  In a normal game one might need a 3-of-a-Kind or better to win, but when the Deuces are declared wild in both rank and suits, then the game becomes easier to make a winning combination.

Wild cards will in fact confuse the opponent about the kind of card that you are really chasing for.  In most cases it sends in the wrong message or incorrect information about your pocket to the best reading abilities of your opponent.  However, when the opponent has learnt the relevant mathematics to crack through the wild cards code, it is going to be difficult to seduce him the wrong way.
